Tractor Time

We visited Poppy's farm yesterday to hang out and see the animals.  Elisha loved seeing the sheep, goats, and dogs.  But he really really LOVED the tractor ride!  Although, I am not sure who had more fun Poppy or Elisha.  They turned manure, lifted and dumped the bucket, and drove through the fields.  As soon as they turned the tractor off Elisha said, "I go again!"
I can move the bucket!
Dump it out!
Driving, on my own!
Who is happier?
Poppy's giving directions
Happy Boys
Daddy being artsy
Are we really done?
They are trying to feed the sheep tree leaves. But the sheep weren't sure about the little person.
Agnes Goat wanted some love too, Baby K #2 took care of that.
Don't worry the dogs also got plenty of attention.

Bike Rides

Elisha got a new bike for the summer! We had gotten it as a birthday gift but in April he was still to small for it so we decided to save the gift for a later date.  At the beginning of June he started riding the bike at daycare so we decided that we would give him his home bike as a welcome to summer gift.  Elisha loves it!  It's a balance bike there he pushes with his feet but it teaches him how to balance on the bike properly.  He rode it all over the neighborhood, and even took it to the park and rode around on the walking path! I LOVE seeing him so happy! Happy Summer!

This makes my heart smile!

Strawberries, Strawberries, Strawberries!

Elisha got to pick Strawberries three times this June.  We thought we were going to miss the season with our visit to Myrtle Beach but because of all of the rain in May the season was pushed back a week.  Elisha and Andrew went to pick Saturday morning while I worked at school.  Elisha LOVED it! He ate more strawberries then he picked.  The next day we went back with some of our church friends so I could get in on the fun! We all had a blast.  We loved the strawberries so much that Elisha and I went back the next week for one more batch because we need to make strawberry scones and strawberry shortcake.

Should I eat it?

Yum!

Extra Yummy!

I can pick it!

Suprise Trip for Grandma and Grandpa!

After weeks of rain, yucky weather, and busy busy schedules Andrew and I decided that we would go to Myrtle Beach for the holiday weekend.  We left school and got right on 95 Friday afternoon.   Around 11:15 when we were still over 2 hours out we decided that we would spend the night in Lumberton instead of rolling into Grandma and Grandpa’s at 1:30 in the morning.  We stopped spent the night around midnight and got back on the road in the morning.  We got to Grandma’s around 10:30 Saturday morning and they were completely shocked!! Elisha asked within 10 minutes of being there if he could go to the playground! We spend the day at the playground, taking naps, and hanging out with some friends.  Then Sunday we did church, went and met Uncle Mark and Aunt Ashley for lunch, went shopping, played at the pool, and ended the day with ice cream at DQ.  It was a crazy quick trip but it was great to see them and get away for a quick trip.

Playground Fun!

Hair Cut

I have been debating for a few weeks on whether to cut Elisha’s hair or to leave his “baby” hair.  Now he has had many haircuts but I have been leaving his hair on the longer side, particularly because he does not like the clippers so I just trim it with scissors.  But after a single afternoon playing outside and his head drenched … and I mean completely drenched I knew it was time for a change.  So, first I cut Andrew’s hair hoping that if Elisha saw how it all worked he would do better.  We got him in the chair without a problem . . . . the rest did not go quite as well.  After about two swipes with the clippers he was screaming . . . . I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, but lets just say there was a lot of bribery involved.

You would have thought I was cutting off his limbs, I promise it was just hair!
Do you see the chocolate bribe in his hand?

That was some long hair!

There is my happy boy!
I'm a big boy!

Spring Day at the Farm

We went to visit Poppy’s farm one day this spring and got to play with the baby pygmy goats! Elisha talked about getting to see the goats, sheep, chickens, and dogs for days leading up to going. He also constantly asks, "I go to Poppy’s house? I play with dog? I see sheep?" He loves animals so much!

Fun with baby goats!

I got an egg!

They are just his size!
