My very own Easter Egg Hunt

Grandma is the BEST! She bought 60 eggs and filled each with candies and “monies”.  Unfortunately, it was rainy outside so the egg hunt was moved inside but that worked out just fine!  I don’t know who taught him what an Easter Egg Hunt was but someone did.  As soon as he woke up from his nap he said, “I see eggs” and he ran around the entire house searching for eggs.  He had a blast!
Finding Eggs . . .

. . . EVERYWHERE!

Two full baskets!
Then Daddy and Elisha sat down to go through the eggs, Elisha figured out that the ones with “monies” sounded different so he started shaking the eggs to find the “monies”.  Again I don’t know where he learned that “monies” are important but he got that figured out and he loved opening each egg!
What's inside??

"Monies!"

All my loot!

Look at all of this!

Dying Easter Eggs

Grandpa got all the necessities for dying Easter eggs! Uncle Mark and Aunt Ashley set everything up and Elisha had blast.  He was all about plunking the eggs down in and by the end he was pro at using the “scoop” to get the eggs back out! See all of the fun in the pictures below!

Slow and steady

This is so FUN!!

Who needs that scoop?
I'll just stick my hand in the cup and get the egg.

Wahoo!

Happy Easter!

We got to spend Easter in Myrtle Beach with Andrew's family.  I'll post about all our adventures through out this week but for now here is our Easter Pictures!

Sunrise Service on the beach, although it rained so we were under a covering at the Hilton Hotel.  This is a water front hotel; so we could see and hear the ocean but there was no sun to be seen :-(   Once Elisha figured out it was the ocean all he said was "I see dolphins", he's learned something from Bubble Guppies.

Then we went to the praise service at church.  By the time we took pictures after service Elisha was done, finished, and way over tired from getting up for the sunrise service.  At least I got something.

Happy Easter from our family to yours.

I'm a big boy now

I have been avoiding this transition for a long, long time but it was time.  My boy is now in a big boy bed! Daddy upgraded his crib to a toddler bed.

My baby is all grown up.

Proving to Mommy I'm too big for this.
Daddy is working hard!

I can get in all by myself!

This is fun :-)

I'm ready to sleep!
When I put Elisha in bed that night we talked about how he is not allowed out of his bed and if he needs something he needs to call for Mama or Dada.  He has done a super job! He has not gotten out of his bed yet! And it's been an entire week! I know at some point I will loose that battle but for now it's working out for me.  Here is my boy the next morning waiting for someone to come and get him!

I'm a BIG BOY NOW.

Weekend with Daddy

Today, (3-12-16) was Mommy’s first day of Grad class in a while and I got to spend the day with Daddy! We started the day with a fruit and veggie pouch and an episode of Bubble Guppies as we do most Saturdays. After a while I asked to play with my trains so we went downstairs to play. First we played with the train set Great Grandma and Great Grandpa got me for Christmas.

Then I saw my old jumperoo. I turned on the music and asked Dad to let me play in it again.

I had fun jumping and dancing to the music. After a while I got hungry and asked Daddy to made pancakes. We needed milk to make them so we had to go to the store. When we left the house I got distracted by the playground where I learned how to climb the ladder among other things.

Don't tell Mommy that Daddy let me climb the ladder. He spotted me so I was safe.

When we finally made it to the store I saw bananas and begged dad to buy some. It was easy to convince him because he loves bananas and never sticks to the list at the store.
Bananas come with stickers!

We are Top Bananas! Grandpa would be proud.

When we got home daddy made chocolate, peanut butter pancakes!

Once I got cleaned up it was nap time and I slept until Mommy got home from class.

I Scream, Elisha Screams, We all Scream for Ice Cream!

Dairy Queen declared an early spring and celebrated 75 years today! That meant a free small vanilla ice cream cone! We have offered Elisha ice cream multiple times but he's never really taken any; but tonight was different.  He ate his first ice cream cone and he LOVED it! I can't wait to spend our summer playing outside and eating ice cream!
I should lick this?
This is fun mom!
Yum
This is good stuff!
